In this post I’m going to teach you how to make your own bullet journal.

Find yourself a journal, any size, either lined, graph or dot. I personally used a dot, it was easier for me to draw lines on. I actually picked mine up at Walmart. I shop at Walmart all the time, good prices, usually good quality. You can buy one from Amazon here.

For my pens I used fine tip pens, bought on sale from Staples and Inkjoy gel pens. You can buy the pens I used here and here.

I started off with a title page. I simply wrote the year and then decorated however I want. This was just my personal preference. Feel free to decorate it however you want. (Forgive my writing at the bottom. It gets messy when I have to write bigger than the size of the ‘bullet journal’ letters.)

Next page I designed was a favorite quotes page. I put this in, because I have a few quotes that have made me who I am.

After my quotes page I made a ‘Things to Buy’ page. This is something that I can add onto as the year goes on.

After the ‘Things to Buy’ page I made a ‘To Do’ List page. This one can be filled out as the year goes on also.

After my ‘To Do’ page I made a yearly goals page; that still needs to be filled out. I’m a procrastinator and I am good at it.

After my yearly goals page, I created a page that I can track my daily mood. I call it a ‘year in color.’ What it basically is, is every day, at the end, you sit down and record how your day went. I did mine in rainbow, with red being an amazing day and pink being a forgotten day.

Here’s an example filled out, that I started in September. Yes, I know I’m missing days, (I’ve been busy. I didn’t have time to sleep, let alone live. Hello retail work!) The second part to a year in color is a monthly totals page. At the end of the month total up how many of each days you had. I think you’ll find that you’ll have more good days that you think.

After the ‘year in color’ I did a birthday’s page. I didn’t fill it out, because I don’t want to show that information.

Finally, the last page I created was a ‘Good Memories’ page. This is for you to write down all your good memories that you want to remember. So, for example, if you have an amazing day, note it as a good memory on what made that day amazing.
